Every machine is old and the place is so run down. Said they were putting $$ into the gym but nothing has changed - the wall planet fitness is nicer than this gym by far and it's way smaller so thats saying something. Crunch... when are you renovating???
After selling to Crunch, we received an email not to worry about our membership, nothing is changing. Memberships for Crunch are priced at 26/mo for 24/7 access, yet we've been paying 45/mo. The transfer and over-charged rates at this gym for old members is a blatant scam. We had no ability to cancel our membership online since we could not sign up for a Crunch fitness account. This path leads directly towards another corporate class action lawsuit, continuing the legacy of Jersey Strong in whole form.
I am very disappointed in this gym and their service. Ever since they changed from Jersey Strong to Crunch, I have not had access to my crunch account online and cannot use any other crunch location. A few months ago, pre-change, I paid in full for my Jersey Strong membership, $447.69 for the entire year, just to now not be able to have access to my crunch account online AND I cannot access any other crunch gyms when I travel as they cannot find me in their system. Crunches came over and bought the gym and stated that the classes would not be effected by the change. However, I pay extra for the shift class that will be taking over by the hit class. The shift classes will end at the end of the month of January. They have no new classes scheduled and was told to take the lower level classes but paying for the higher level of classes. This is false advertising about having three levels of pay when all classes have been cancelled. No one at the gym can give you any answers.
I had really liked this gym, however- It is no longer a locally owned gym. If you move out of the area- you are still obligated for 12 month dues. Be careful and fully read contract. Third party does their billing.
