For many years, the Roma Family would receive daily requests to open further South. “We need a Jersey Strong by exit 98” was a regular message sent in to our customer service department. The Wall Crunch Fitness is a great gym and I'm really excited about the new renovations and equipment. Staff is super friendly and the manager Ian recently resolved a membership issue I was experiencing. I highly recommend this gym to everyone.
I pay around $35/month to be a member here, and the state of the locker rooms is downright disgusting. The urinals reek like a truck stop bathroom, it’s genuinely nauseating. The floors are visibly dirty, there’s hair clippings in the sinks, and it’s clear the facilities aren’t being cleaned with any regularity or care. This is not a free community center, it’s a paid fitness club, and members deserve at the very least a clean and sanitary environment. This gym used to be great when it was Jersey Strong, but the Crunch team that has taken over has done a 0/10 job in terms of general turnover. Every member complains of a new issue... - 24 hour access has been an issue. Namely, AM gym goers cannot get into the gym during unstaffed hours. This location transitioned faster from Jersey Strong to Crunch than the Ocean location, so I switched to here for several weeks. I appreciate how they kept the Adaptive Motion Trainer Ellipticals during the switch as the Ocean location- although it eventually improved- did not keep the AMTs. I wish there were a few more of certain weights machines, there should always be a couple of each kind. It's bright and open so I really like it in there.
Just days after joining Jersey Strong, I received a notice about the change to Crunch. The staff member who sold me the membership must have known and I felt totally mislead. IThree months later and classes still aren’t posted in the app. I do not recommend this gym.
