“If you build it, they will come” could have been written for Jersey Strong Ocean. The Jersey shore towns in the Ocean area simply could not wait for WoW Ocean to open its doors in the former Seaview Square Mall shopping center in 2005. This club opened with 3,000 members and hundreds of them waited outside for us to open the club at MIDNIGHT. This always-busy WoW location still provides thousands of workouts to many of the fittest bodies at the beach. It is centrally located between RT 18, RT 66 and RT 35.

I would like to preface by saying, never in my life have I EVER been compelled to write a bad review of a business until now. I highly advise anyone who is looking for a new gym to stay far away. My girlfriend and I wanted to check this place out, as I had just moved, to see what type of equipment they offered. When we arrived we saw that there was no one attending the front desk. The change the prices too often and some equipment is missing parts . You can never get a hold of anyone at the front desk when you call . And due to the recent heat , the power has been out. No fault to them but there is no way to call and find out if they are open again because the automated system just takes you in circles . They also don’t have any of the older amenities like they used to including the tanning booths. It’s ok but there are better gyms. Just waiting for an LA to open up in the area
I will start by saying this gym is as bad as planet fitness or any other gym looking to take your money, make it impossible for you to leave and shame you. I signed up looking for a healthy change for the new year. I was told that I can cancel with an easy $100 payment and be done. I was also told if I did a BMI assessment I would get a small discount so I signed up. Being naive as I am, the BMI assessment was an excuse for them to sell me some extra training program. This place is a scam and should be shut down. The used cars salesman who sold me my gym membership conveniently failed to mention it would cost me over $160 to cancel my membership when the time came. I paid a $70+ fee on start up plus the $56/monthly membership. Plus they just charge you an extra $120 fee at the one year mark. For what? Broken equipment that doesn't get fixed and a lockerroom that smells like a sewer? Thank God pf opened up down the block, can't wait for this place to go out of business.
Careful they lie to you when you sign up on monthly, costs,fees, and cancelation. Not worth paying 50 $ a month!!!! Look elsewhere much better prices with more amenities. The general manager BoB tell you one thing then your screwed for 2 years!! You cant even bring a guest to workout in peace with you they charge them 15$ for the day try to sell them a membership before working out, what a shame
