Glad to have finally moved out. While the apartment is nice and I love how much room I had, the complex is not run well. It is like pulling teeth to get a phone call or email returned. Issues with being charged pet fees for months after I no longer had pets and they confirmed they would remove the fee. If you’re considering moving into The Jewel at Whispering Oaks in Swansea, IL, I strongly urge you to reconsider. My experience over the past month has been nothing short of frustrating, marked by poor management, unfulfilled promises, and a complete lack of accountability. Apartment is unsanitary and unsafe. Property is covered in pet feces (poop). Trash is a frequent problem ranging from trash blowing around in the parking lot to trash being thrown on top and left sitting outside the compactor. Cigarette butts are scattered throughout property as well. As too the apartment being unsafe the apartment boast about being a gated community yet gate has been broken for months.
