I strongly advise against seeking services from JL Family Services. My experience with this organization has been nothing short of appalling. They advertise “affordable therapy,” but this is a complete lie. After initially charging me $30 per session—which I paid—they later back-charged me unjustly with additional fees and provided no clear explanation or transparency. Shannon Carr is in a class all by herself. Bar none. If you're serious about personal development and growth, she's a solid resource. She's as sharp as they come and I'm convinced that she has a special gift to work with me; I'm not sure that I can be convinced otherwise at this point. i missed an appointment because I was 5150'd and they refused to give me a refund. I understand that they have the right to do whatever they want, but if a patient is involuntarily admitted to a psychiatric ward, the decent thing to do is refund their session
Ashley Pittman has been my therapist for about nine months, and I can honestly say she's been the best therapist I ever had. In my household, therapy was a weekly routine, so when I started meeting with Ashley I wasn't new to being in therapy.
