Always loved this store and the friendly staff and all the coupons that come in the mail ❤️😊 , but Everytime i try to use a new gift card , it doesn't go through because the register doesn't just take the card , the cashier has to manually type in the amount of the gift card in , instead of the card just minusing from the total . JoAnns please fix your registers !!!
I went to JoAnns fabric store on a Tuesday afternoon to get fabric for a christening dress for a great-granddaughter. I picked out fabric and went to the cutting line and tried to take a number but the numbers were all gone. So the clerk, Sona, said “that’s OK you can just get in line behind the person last person who did have a number” Not totally trusting that I did take a number which was about 10 numbers away from the top because Sona was the only clerk handling many many customers. The wait to get fabric cut and the wait to check out is completely unreasonable. Waited 20 min to get fabric cut today. I grabbed my number before I looked for my fabric and still waited a long time. Then the line to check out is beyond the normal line that the store has set up. Picture is attached. I timed how long it took to wait in line and check out and it was 30 minutes.
I never plan to shop at any Joann store ever again, in person or online. Went in store to purchase some empty cookie tins that were on their door buster sale (online and in store) I decided to go in store so I could see the quality in person. Noticed the prices online were cheaper than in store, even though it was the same door buster sale on the same tins.. I figured they could match their own online pricing like most stores do. I know why they are going out of business: they are SO slow in fabric. It isn't that people don't want fabric. They just don't want to wait while (some) employees hang out and talk and move like molasses. I've been waiting for a good hour and there is no sense of urgency. Obvs it doesn't matter now but it was like this before too.
