Return to Joeys when going to theatre. Sadly they removed my favourite meal.... veggie burger. My options are mow too limited
We had made a reservation but our go train was delayed. I tried numerous times to call and advise but no answer by the restaurant, I advise them of our experience and the manager did apologize but I felt it was a half hearted response and I felt it was brush off. I tired to call the restaurant again but they still did not answer hence my review.
We waited 50 mins for our drinks, no one filled our waters during that time. Fish tacos were disgusting, the wrap was freezer burnt and the fish / shrimp were awful. Little pieces of burnt I don’t know what?! Fries were loaded with salt. Couldn’t eat them or the tacos. I asked the manager to comp our drinks. Then we had to get her again about the awful food. She comped everything but it ruined our time / lunch for my family who was in TO from out of town.
For someone with hearing loss, this was a very annoying experience. There was a constant ‘thump’ ‘thump’ of the bass, with no appreciable tune to the music. Most restaurants have some ‘music’ but most elderly hear the lower frequencies mush better than the high ones. Until you get to be ‘elderly’ you really don’t appreciate how this ‘invisible’ disability impacts the enjoyment of dining at a classy restaurant with poor music choice. P.S. the food was excellent and the service as expected.

Unfortunately, this experience was subpar at best. The server was unorganized, forgot our water, forgot our drinks, didn’t provide any cutlery or plates for our appetizers, had to keep asking for more water. She would turn and look at other staff as to blame them. Frankly, the worst experience I’ve had in Toronto in a long while. It’s not like they were understaffed or super busy. We just did not have good service. The food was good, but not having what we needed for what we spend there is not acceptable. Do better!
Nothing too much to say. The server was preoccupied with taking with her co-workers.
Our food was excellent…. But the service seemed very scattered. Server was very nice but seemed very scattered and really didn’t give the attention we should have had for the price. Would really not be in a hurry to come back.
Ordered Joey Classic Steak - One of the worst i’ve had had in recent time. Poor cut of steak with hard, chewy fat which was inedible. Horrible experience, especially considering the price paid
