I haven’t been to Joey’s in a bit but the service has really gone down. I made reservations and despite the restaurant being half empty, they still made me wait 10 min while they “cleared the table”. Bellinis were not as good as they used to be.
During my reservation via OpenTable i had clearly called out the reason was "Anniversary celebrations" I had also called out a special request dessert, but however, all instructions were conveniently ignored. Even during placing my order, I requested for avocados as part of my bowl and there were no avocados in my meal. Additionally, we had to keep looking for our server to help us out. My daughter and her friend walked into the restaurant and they were told they were fully booked. I immediately went on your site and booked the table and there was plenty options. It’s disappointing two young girls can get turned away when there are many availabilities.
Waited for 40 min for the server to take our orders. She probably left for the day without transerring our table to another employee.
During my recent visit, I faced a few obstacles that marred the overall experience. The server seemed disengaged, as if lost in thought, which resulted in the unfortunate oversight of the second cocktail I had ordered. I returned after two months and, unfortunately, I noticed a significant decline in the quality of service. Our reservation was at 10:30 p.m., but we had to wait over 20 minutes to be seated. Once at the table, it took another 15 minutes before we were offered water and given the menu. Overall, the service was careless, and the restrooms were in very poor sanitary condition. Due to this entire experience, we finished our meal quickly and decided to leave early. Truly a disappointing night.
