Unfortunately the few things they got right couldn’t make up for the shitty service. The waitstaff were very snobbish, it took several attempts of loudly calling out to passing servers, and eventually having to leave the table to find the hostess before they would acknowledge us. The waitress who took our order was quite rude when we asked for the burger to be cooked through. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly, though slow at times. The prices have gone up enough that we'll look for other options before coming back.
Fish tacos and fries were so salty that any other flavour ceased to exist
Food was average. Service was poor, our server gave us our food and never came back to check on us until we had to flag them down for the bill. Ordered the whipped ricotta and the bread was so burnt I couldn’t eat it.
I was a bit disappointed that there wasn’t a kids menu. When we asked the waitress, she told us that they do have one, but it’s not visible online. I had to find an alternative for my young child before coming to the restaurant. It should indicate online that a kids menu is available.
Food was great. Server upgraded my steak and sushi without my consent and when I asked why my bill was high and noticed the up charge, her reply was it was her mistake yet she won’t be able to change it. Poor recovery.
When we tried to reserve on "OpenTable" it said that there was no openings' in the Dining Area, just the lounge with the High Top tables. Since we wanted quiet dining experience we did not want a bar atmosphere and we almost went elsewhere. We decided to risk it and discovered that not even one dining room table was in use when we got there at 4:45PM. I have been to this location multiple times. The Concierge at the door was wonderful. She seated us promptly, described the seat options and asked if we had a time limit. We were off the the theatre for 7 pm .. . so yes, we were under a time constraint. The concierge was going to inform the waitress ... who never showed up and ignored is, even though the menus were piled at the side of the table. Dear Joey’s Team, I’ve always loved dining at Joey’s. Your food is consistently delicious, and I often recommend your restaurant to friends. However, during my recent visit, I noticed a few changes and experiences that I wanted to share. Firstly, I was disappointed to see that the guacamole appetizer has been removed from the menu and replaced with ricotta.
