Never got the meal we ordered and no discount as given as a result of this
This was the worst service I have received. If you tell them you need more time, they never come back. We waited 30 minutes for a diet coke and then had to ask a different server and it still took more time. They came around a few time to ask us when we were leaving but when we were ready to leave, we couldn't find anyone to get us the bill.
We had a reservation at 8:15 and we showed up and was told final call that night was 9:30? Which gives us about an hour to look at the menu, order, eat and decide! I come here every year for my birthday but I feel like they should've contacted people who made reservations and let them know that was happening. My partner and I found the food to be good for the most part. We ordered the truffle parmesan fries and Korean fried cauliflower to start, then the steak with sushi and the herb crush salmon along with drinks. Everything tasted good except for the steak. I found it to be very chewy and the taste ok. Food was awful. Steaks completely underdone (rare). Also poor quality cuts. We complained but the waiter insisted that it was medium rare. Sure. Sushi was extremely spicy and the rice was dried out. Didn’t finish any of our meals. Drinks were terribly made. Most were not finished. We didn’t risk desert ordering desert. The price of this meal did not match what we ate. Go here if you want to get ripped off.
We had an okay time at this Joeys location in Ottawa. We had lunch. The reason why I didn’t gave a great experience is because after our okay lunch our server picked up a dirty napkin off the floor and put it on our table with us sitting there. I was so upset that went to washroom to sanitize my phone. I will say that the lettuce wraps are good.
We unfortunately had a disappointing experience at Joey’s last night. I usually enjoy dining out there. It took considerable time for a server to ask if we wanted drinks. Our steak was not hot enough and we didn’t have utensils when the plate was served, nor were asked if we wanted wine with our meal ahead of time. The food was okay but not great. Dining at this resturant was an absolute disappointment. It cost an arm and a leg; we paid a $150 for just two meager meals,. To make matters worse, the quantity of food was insufficient, leaving us still feeling hungry. Moreover, the quality of the dishes was extremely poor, as they lacked flavor and presentation. Considering the unjustifiable price, inadequate portion sizes, and subpar quality, I would strongly advise against dining at this restaurant and cannot recommend it to others at all.
