Very detailed and gives good explanation and very nice. He took over my neurological care and embolized my large avm three times and since I’ve felt better, rare seizures and no migraines anymore. I was waiting for Edward Elmhurst neurology doc appointment but had a really bad seizure at work at loyola and he took over the care for my treatment asap.
Dr. Serrone is very detailed and caring. All my tests showed a schwannoma tumor on my lower spine. Though that specific type of tumor is rarely cancerous, I had to have mine removed as it was causing extreme pain. I could no longer walk without a cain or the support of someone near me. Surgery was my only option. The very first time I stood in the hospital I knew the nerve pain was gone! I am recovering from the surgery itself, but every few days I improve and I could not be more pleased.
Dr Serrone was more informative than any Dr consulted about the neurological disorder facing me. He pulled no punches, thoroughly explaining the risks with compassion. Taking all the time I needed, he answered all my questions, some may have been asked twice. At no time did I feel rushed or like a number. Dr Serrone was very thoughtful and has taken the time to consult other doctors to set up a team of experts to assist in the operation. He has my vote as excellent.

Dr Serrome made us wait while he chit chatted outside the door with friends on our visit. When he came in he gave us a prepared speech about the issue I was dealing with. Highly impersonal that we were taking up his time. Asking questions only irritates him and he sacastically asked if we had done any research. He will roll his eyes at anything you might bring up. In a follow up call which took several days for him to even do that, he was again irritated that I dare ask a question.
