Dr. Shaya is an excellent person and doctor. He explains treatments and due to his high quality of care, at stage 4, I am having a excellent quality of life. I cannot sing praises for Dr. Shaya loudly enough, he turned what was a somber and distressing Oncology appointment into a day filled with hope and a plan. He spent a superior amount of time discussing the cancer treatment options available to us and was very thoughtful in decreasing our exposure to others during the COVID-19 situation. This doctor corresponds only with other doctors, not a patient. He read my blood work wrong and notified my PCP that everything was ok and there were many results that were too low or too high and needed immediate attention and he didn't do anything about it. He didn't even call me the patient but instead sent a note to my PCP. Why is he afraid to deal with the patient like a professional should? Don't go to this doctor because he doesn't read the results correctly and is keeping a patient from getting the care they need.
