Fabulous pediatrician for all four of my kids.
Dr Brenner was excellent with my son who had frequent colds/ear infections.
Inept, wanted to have son vaccinated at two week appointment and she high pressed us to do it that day claiming it was "already drawn up". Upon seeing the actual vaccine it was clearly a single dose shot. New pediatrician says there was no need for the vaccine given until child was older. Karen went on and on about what she's seen in other areas of the world and her travels.
Dr. Brenner was (to be fair, it's been 12 years since we've seen her) the worst pediatrician we ever had. She had no bedside manner - she just would do what she needed to do, and did nothing to allay our child's fear of a doctor coming at him with things to stick in his ear or cold objects to put on his chest. The biggest problem came when our lactose-intolerant child was not putting on weight, and she kept insisting he was celiac, even after all evidence to the contrary (wanted colon biopsy).
