The social worker instructed me to leave the facility and refused to allow me to visit my own grandfather. Even more heartbreaking, I was unable to see my grandfather on my birthday because I had been asked to leave the facility, and he was not permitted to leave for a visit. This nursing home resembled a latter-day East Berlin—not because of barbed wire or a physical barrier, but because of the constant monitoring and administrative pressure to remain. I had one bad experience. My mother was there and shared a room. The restroom was being used. I took her to another restroom, she's 83 years old. An employee that looks more as a patient there told us she was going to report us and she did after it was explain to her. A coordinator by the name Jasmine came over to my mother was ver verbal aggressive and to my mother that she was an issue there among other things and that she was going to transfer her.
