I did not have a great experience with this doctor. After seeing him for months I have made no progress. I have other chronic health conditions and he prescribed many medications that exacerbated these conditions. He was pretty responsive through the patient portal though which is a plus.
FIND SOMEONE ELSE. I was prescribed Zoloft from him and after experiencing horrific side effects from it, his answer was to increase the dosage while ignoring all my questions and concerns. He is now not responding over medical records I’ve requested him to send to my primary care. Pretty scary someone like this can prescribe medication to people. But he seemed to listen and he also gets back as quick as possible. He’s very diligent and responsive. He lets you talk (haha).
I had a horrifically triggering call with Dr. D'Oyen. I moved recently to California so needed a new psychiatrist to prescribe my ADHD medication. I also keep a prescription of anti anxiety medication for the incredibly rare occasions I have panic attacks (I probably take less than 10 of these pills a year). Dr. D'Oyen basically implied that it was ridiculous that I would have both a prescription for a stimulant and an anti anxiety medication. A psychiatrist who stigmatizes mental illness in this way is incredibly damaging ... read more
