KIDZ Medical Hematology Oncology is a place where me and my family feel very comfortable to go to. Everyone is really kind, and the doctors have very good knowledge and they’re very kind walking you through explanations and treatments. I definitely recommend them. Also they’re on time most of the times.
I had an appointment scheduled for 1:30, but I ended up waiting until 2:45 without being called. When I politely inquired about the wait time, the window staff response was incredibly rude and dismissive. Instead of providing a reasonable estimate or showing any concern for my time, she seemed to find the situation amusing. "Yes we are very behind " It's unacceptable to keep patients waiting for over an hour past their scheduled appointment time and then treat them disrespectfully when they ask about the delay. Our first visit with Dr. Ramirez was great. He was very thorough, personable and patient, really taking the time to ask important and indepth questions. He had genuine care and concern for my daughter, and even wanted to be updated on her upcoming appointment with another specialist. I would highly recommend Dr. Ramirez as a pediatric hematologist.
Staff is nice and helpful. But the time management isn’t the best. The wait times are either super short or extremely long. It feels almost that they book a whole bunch of people at once. But the doctors are awesome!
It has been a week since my son was referred to this office, and despite leaving two detailed voicemails, I have yet to receive a call back. As a parent, it is disheartening to experience such a lack of communication, especially when it concerns the well-being of my child. I understand the office may be extremely busy but it takes two minutes to return a phone call to a concerned parent. We will be in search of a different hematology office after this poor experience.
