Our goal at Ko'olau Women's Health Care is to provide a positive experience for all aspects of women's healthcare. We have been in practice since 1992 and are conveniently located next to Castle Medical Center in Kailua and Queen's POB II in Honolulu. Our doctors and midwives are flexible and support natural approaches to childbirth. We do VBACs at Queens and Kapiolani, and support high-risk deliveries, and preterm deliveries at these locations. Dr. Bhattacharyya is skilled in single-site minimally invasive surgery.

I am so grateful to have had Dr. Awaya deliver my baby girl at Castle. I would happily have her deliver any of my babies in the future. Honestly, I love that she is short and sweet; my appointments are always pretty quick but she is always kind and happy to answer any questions that I have. It’s nice to have a doctor that is knowledgeable and able to calm those “new momma” nerves. The best office staff who always do their best to accommodate you and always with kindness and grace. I’ve received great care in the 16 years I’ve been going to this office, but recent care by Dr. B was above all standards with care, empathy and great medical attention. If you’re looking for quality professionals who really know their work and a great office staff (which is rare these days), highly recommend seeking care here.
I had an excellent experience at Ko’olau Women’s Healthcare. Midwife Holly Tammens was incredibly attentive and compassionate, taking the time to listen and provide thorough care, tips and tricks. The entire office staff was professional and friendly, making my visit comfortable.
Very welcoming and loving group of professional workers. I had an issue regarding my insurance and they helped me to get it worked out perfectly. I highly recommend Ko’olau Women’s Healthcare!! Dr. Holly is very nice and makes every visit comfortable and easy-going.
I cannot recommend this place enough! I’ve never been to a place where the staff listens to my concerns so well. Any concern I’ve ever had has always been listened to and addressed so well. They also made sure I had the smoothest pregnancy and delivery. If you want a team that supports you 100% and will do everything in their power to help, this is the place for you! I’ll never be able to thank them enough.
