Pleasant
Overall my stay in Austin was enjoyable. The elevator and walkways in part of the hotel were too narrow making it difficult to maneuver luggage carts. Breakfast was not what I expected. There were few choices. I have been at other La Quinta's where hot choices were available. The room was very clean and spacious. Staff were pleasant. Housekeeping did an excellent job.
Good Breakfast was skimpy. Not enough selection. The bed was comfortable.
Over all, I would stay there again. No protein for breakfast. Only boiled eggs. Rest was all carbs. Need new pillows. I liked the staff, pleasant and accommodating. Location is prefect. Easy to walk everywhere.
You're paying for location, not much else. Unwelcome surprise upon arrival : $25/day to park your car here. Breakfast selection disappointing at best. One public computer w/ printer in the lobby which was allowed to be hogged by 1 person for close to an hour AND who basically shut it down---out of order for everyone else who needed to print boarding passes!
Good Die Hotelflure sind ziemlich heruntergekommen - speziell der Teppich hat seine Zeit schon lange hinter sich. Hohe Parkgebühren (Valet parking only). Frühstück wirklich nur basic und der Kaffee dünn. Das Zimmer war sauber und groß. Um Downtown zu erkunden ist das Hotel wirklich gut geeignet, das Capitol ist nicht weit, ebenso die Restaurants und Bars rund um die 6th Street.
Exceptional Location
Not great but the price was good for the location. Difficulty reaching the front desk by phone in the early hours to complain about extremely noisy guests who woke us up. Strong smell of damp in corridors. Key cards failed to work (twice!) after only a couple of days. For the price, the location was excellent. Room was OK. Breakfast was OK.
