Lakes Gas was supposed to have come out and replaced the regulator on our tank the last time it got this cold. Our furnace would not kick on so we had to call them out . Jeremy tried to tell me that because we have other appliances that use propane, that it may not be the regulator. If this would have gotten fixed when it was supposed to, we wouldn't wake up to 54 degrees in our home. I knew what the problem was so Jeremy, next time, listen to your customers and get rid of the smug attitude

Geez you would think these reviewers have never bought propane. I switched to propane at the worst time possible. It was the year it spiked to $5.15 and I bought 200 gallons @ $5.15 on a cold year...yes really fun. They try to get their drivers out but they have a large customer base and need to schedule a delivery. Folks like these two and me we wait until the last minute or we already ran out. I would say they are great but they are also charging a premium to use their tanks and for that they get 4 stars. Keep in mind they... read more

Tried to order propane at 20% tank level, they said call back when you get below 15%. Finally ordered on a Monday, they said 3 to 5 days, got home from work Friday night to find an empty tank and cold house. Called them, they said the delivery day is over but for a fee they would come out, I said yes, they charged me an extra $150. Shocked, I can get a Pizza delivered from North Branch in 40 minutes, but they can't seem to make it in 4.5 DAYS. These crooks are in the business of getting you to run out of propane, stay away i... read more

Called on a Sunday the emergency line at 9am with an issue not knowing who to call the man gave me some ideas to try which didnt resolve the issue but was thankful for his guidance on who I should try calling next. A hour later the man from lakes gas called back ON HIS OWN to say he spoke to his manager and told us that the issue may be a humidifier. Sure enough turned our humidifier off for a hour and the problem was solved. Beyond thankful for the great customer service and that our problem was solved and we didnt have to ... read more

I've been a customer of lakes gas since 1985. Not once have I felt like as a customer I have been treated unfairly. When ever I have ordered a refill they have always said it will be 3 to 5 days. I have never run out of gas, they usually are here by the 4th day. I will always be a customer as I live in there service area.
