Tucked away in Mt Dora, this unassuming spot is a true gem. From the moment we stepped inside, we were transported to a vibrant Havana cafe with a warm, inviting atmosphere, and the tantalizing aroma of roasting pork and simmering spices. First time trying Cuban food. Overall the food was just good but not what I expected. I probably wouldn't eat it again but that's personal preference. The service was not great but I guess he was trying. The restaurant was clean but the bathroom was SUPER tiny unless you use the handicap stall.
Came here for the first time this weekend. The food was very delicious first time trying Mofungo it was absolutely delicious. Service was good too. Think only thing here that wasnt great, was so much dust. It was very think on pictures and some of the decor. Just needs a good cleaning in the establishment. The bathroom floor was a little sticky too. The garlic sauce for the bread was very strong too. All in all not bad.
In my opinion this restaurant has the best Cuban cuisine in Orlando. The business is a small place, with very good decoration that makes you remember the island of Cuba. The food is tasty, an explosion of flavors of traditional Cuban food. The ropa Vieja, the croquette and the sweet plantain are delicious. We arrived right before the lunch rush on a Monday and were served super fast. We all enjoyed the food served piping hot. Two Cubans, ropa vieja and ropa vieja on fried plantains. Yum. I tasted their cilantro salad dressing and I should have purchased some because it was delicious! We had to ask twice for almost everything we required, but server was very nice. When in Mount Dora, give it a try. Yummy
