Dr. Stawick and his staff have been nothing short of amazing. He personally reaches out to his patients in a more then timely manner. I've never received such good care by a physician and he's seems to genuinely care about his patients well being. He looks into all possibilities and rules them out one by one and takes the time to explain and give real understanding. I trust him with my health and could not have asked for a better experience during a very difficult time.
I was referred to the gastroenterologist by my internal medicine doctor. I spent 45 minutes with him and he did not bother to examine me at all; merely asked me to go thru an expensive procedure (out of pocket will cost about 700). I was having constant stomach pain and I had expected this specialist to examine me and press my stomach region to isolate the problems. He did not !! This is the first time in 60 plus years of life that a doctor did not physically examine me !! It is absolutely crazy

I am clinical prof. at MSU, along with my practice I teach GI Fellows. I do an extensive exam/history. The appt was 30 mins and was extended for this pt. I listen to the pts, examine pts, I explain total differential diagnosis to pts. Advise to test and investigations to identify problems. All the GI exam/procedures are done in an outpatient setting. There can be up to 5 charges for pts, Facility, Anesthesia, CRNA, Pathology, and Doctor. The greatest expense are in the first 4, not the doctor.
