I recently went to check out Le Fantome Food Hall in Riverdale, MD. I had heard mixed reviews, and wanted to check it out for myself. I’m glad that I did. I planned to stop by for a quick bite to do some work and ended up having a friend join me, eating two meals there and being there for happy hour all in total for 7 hours! We had an amazing time at Le Fantome food hall! Our faves were the orange chicken, tacos and of course the delicious cocktails. My faves are the pomegranate margarita and the Moscow mule. They tasted delicious and looked just like they did on social media! The food was incredibly delicious — we loved that we get to try different cuisines from different vendors and were really impressed by how tasty they were! This was my first time at the food hall. It was cool. The employees greeted us upon walking in and informed us on how everything works. The main thing I didn’t like was the ghost kitchens. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to interact with an employee from each restaurant to get suggestions on what to order or ask a question. We had to rely on social media and reviews. I want to be clear: this review is purely about unfulfilled advertising. The food was great. The vibes were good. But they promised live music on the website and there was no live music at any point. A calendar inside promised an open mic and karaoke and that never happened. Is that BS and false advertising? Yes. Did I still have a good time? Also yes. My conclusion? I decided to work remotely here for the afternoon and definitely enjoyed it. Because it was midday but after the lunch rush it wasn't overcrowded, definitely clean and the staff were super friendly. There are currently 7 vendors in the food hall, plus the bar area that makes smoothies, espresso, teas, and of course alcoholic beverages.
