I have an awesome therapist! The check in sometimes seems unnecessary, doing the same questions every time every time, but it’s not that big of a deal. I love the service I get!
The therapist I saw through LifeStance was great. I have no complaints on her. However, the admin experience with LifeStance is absolutely horrendous. They took over 8 months to file claims to my insurance because they would repeatedly submit them wrong. Additionally their communication is terrible. I would continuously have to follow up with them instead of receiving updates. If I didn’t push them as much as I did I’m certain insurance wouldn’t have paid what they did. LifeStance Health has provided me with care that I value, but my overall experience has been overshadowed by significant administrative challenges that need attention. While the providers themselves are excellent, the operational inefficiencies have caused unnecessary stress, especially as someone seeking support for mental health. Poor experience. The therapist was a no show to the appointment multiple times. I called Lifestance to cancel all sessions for my child and within three weeks. The therapist booked an appointment that was not authorized by the parent.
The counseling services we have received there weren't terrible. Like any agency they go down the wildly crazy path of everything is "violence" and everything has to be "safe". After pushing through that and calming our counselor down. We attended many sessions. Overall I wouldn't complain about that experience. That being said. We scheduled our son an appointment there.
