They will charge you for things you don’t ask for . $75 for a consultation I had no clue about. I won’t pay it, but it’ll probably end up on my credit report. Stay far away from this place. I reported them to BBB. Their rating on BBB is absolutely horrible, and for good reason. Looking at their employees records online, it appears they employ the people that couldn’t get a job elsewhere. Not one impressive school or award. These are C- liberal arts “professionals” that real hospitals wouldn’t take.
I genuinely enjoy my psychiatrist. She’s very insightful and has dramatically changed my life. The other facets are pretty meh. However, the billing department is HORRIBLE. How many times do I have to call for an up to date itemized statement? Victoria, the “office manager” is rude. They act like it’s a problem to question what your money is going to???? Why am I paying full amounts for shortened appointments? It’s okay for therapists to show up AN HOUR LATE and I still have to pay full price?? But if I’m late I get charged... read more
I would never trust them again with financial information. Keep a record of all your receipts, because they may sell your PAID bills to a collection agency and never contact you back despite repeated messages. I was just sent another bill, over a year after last receiving services. After ruining my credit and refusing to make it right, they still want me to pay them more. The stress of dealing with this company has caused me to be considerably weary of therapy/psychiatry as a whole.
LifeStance bought out my therapist’s practice (formerly Hornstein Platt in Philly), and while I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my actual therapist, LifeStance itself is… not great. The merger was supposed to make things more unified and streamlined but that has definitely not been the case. The patient portal UI is poorly designed and has limited functionality — notably, there is nowhere for a client to put their credit card on file. You have to call into the office and ask them to do it. This was particularl... read more
Therapeutically they are fabulous. But their billing department is horrific. Do much that the therapists had to get involved just to get a contact name. Questions not answered even with a contact name fir 7 months. I guess it is their way to get new clients - cause so much stress to drive the payer to seek therapy. If my son was not receiving such great therapeutic care, we would have run away a long time ago.
