I am very happy with my experiences with both my counselor/art therapist and my MSW psychiatric nurse practitioner. Both are very professional, attentive, caring and helpful. I had given up on finding a counselor that I could work with that accepted Medicare until I found lifestance. I appreciate being able to go to a live session with both of them. The scheduling and payment has been easy.
The mission of LifeStance seems to be to take the humanity out of psychiatry. Everything is coordinated through their portal or their convoluted phone tree, neither of which seem to go to any actual human beings. I have been trying for a month to get my records from my previous clinic in the hands of my new provider here, but they seem to evaporate into the ether once they reach LifeStance. Therapist is great. The phone, records, and check in systems are so infuriatingly bad that I will likely not recommend this place to anyone. You absolutely CANNOT call and talk to a human. You can't skip the 3+ minute phone tree. You can't call a therapist. They send you texts asking you to call some times (I got one today). When you call, nobody answers! This feels like some super discount service where humans are eliminated from the system to save cost. It is HORRIBLE.
Like the therapy but hate the booking process. I’ve given feedback about this before and I know plenty of others who have but they are doing nothing to change the process. Filling out paperwork every single time you have an appointment is just ridiculous. Please fix this process Life Stance! Happy to change this review if you fix your process! 👌
I love my therapist. So I'm sorry that the review isn't that great. The review is not based on my therapist. My review is based on the checking in policy for Life Stance. Early on I was asked if I wanted to leave a credit card on file. I chose the only answer available to me that was as close to a decline which was ask me later. My only choices were ask me later or to upload my credit card. I'm not comfortable with automatic withdrawals.
