I called in September to make an appointment, and they let me know that there was a wait, but that they could see me in December. On the phone they asked me if I preferred a in person or a virtual appointment. I made it very clear that I wanted an in person appointment, as I struggle a lot with virtual sessions. Lifestance is wonderful! They work with me on appointment times and are always willing to help when I have questions. My provider Amy Short is so helpful and always listens.
I showed up to my last appointment and my provider did not make me aware prior to the appointment that the doors lock at a certain time and the employees on the bottoms floor leave prior to the doors locking so I walked around the building for 20 minutes trying to get ahold of someone in the office before she contacted me via portal. Which was upsetting as I take work off for these appointments. Amy has been great, very helpful, easy to talk to, I've learned ways to make my days more productive and understand not everyone grieves the same way. I always looked forward to the next meeting, Amy helped me understand more about the night my daughter, Shannon took her life! The people she was with at the end of the night she knew, but they didn't know Shannon well enough and what she was going through.
