I've been seeing Dr. Tara Livingston for a few years now and she's genuinely the best psychiatrist I've ever had. I had a really bad experience with my last psychiatrist so I was really reluctant to see a new one, but Dr. Livingston has renewed my trust in psychiatrists. I usually do online appointments through video call which is extremely convenient but it is required you see them in person at least once a year. I should have listened to the reviews about billing before signing my daughter up for therapy here. Therapist was great, the charges are INSANE!! $100 cancelation fee. So I closed my daughters account to go else where. I cannot help when a child is sick in less than 48 hours of her appointment. Once I closed my account, I received an email about me owing more money to them- even though I canceled all future appointments. Beyond ridiculous.
Their computer system drops appointments. Twice I showed up just to be booked over/not booked at all. Plus I have had false charges to my account twice. Then when I expressed my frustration (politely and patiently), my therapist dropped me over “scheduling issues.”
This is not a review for their providers but rather their billing. I was overbilled, followed their process for disputing it, and ultimately had to dispute charges on my card to get that money back. It was 2 months of waiting and headaches. I spent hours going back and forth with their finance department. The experience was bad enough, I decided to switch providers as I couldn't keep dealing with that. I can't recommend therapy here. I was set up with a provider through the VA. I was seen 2 times. At that time I was only being seen once a month and asked to have it bumped up to 2 times a month and was told "of course!" Right before that appt the therapist reached out and cancelled. I was rescheduled and then the night before that appt it was also cancelled by text and I was told they would contact me the next day to reschedule me again .
