The counselor I had was very "woke minded" added no value or real advise pertinent to the situation. Parenting is hard enough. I choose to be direct and have consequences for poor behavior. They said I shouldn't yell. Let them go into a "safe space" is the culture being counseled here. I've never been exposed to such hostility in a counselor like this before. If you have conservative values and morals. This place is not for you.
THEIR BILLING SYSTEM SUCKS. However, the therapists and psychs here are much nicer than OSF. However, there are NO SUPPORTING STAFF ON SITE. If you have a billing question GOOD LUCK trying to get through to them. And cancelling appointments are a nightmare if you work a 9-5 as there portal easily allows you to schedule appts but there is NO WAY to cancel them online. I have been working with Miss Tara for about four months now and she is the BEST you can find. She’s attentive, thorough, and thoughtful! She’s patient and honestly, just fun to talk to! I cannot recommend her enough!
Their computer system drops appointments. Twice I showed up just to be booked over/not booked at all. Plus I have had false charges to my account twice. Then when I expressed my frustration (politely and patiently), my therapist dropped me over “scheduling issues.”
I've been seeing Dr. Tara Livingston for a few years now and she's genuinely the best psychiatrist I've ever had. I had a really bad experience with my last psychiatrist so I was really reluctant to see a new one, but Dr. Livingston has renewed my trust in psychiatrists. I usually do online appointments through video call which is extremely convenient but it is required you see them in person at least once a year.
