Disappointed. We went here before the Shania Twain concert. The floors were wet/humid from the weather and I slipped/fell on the tile. There were other patrons that also slipped and fell. Our waiter was so kind, asked how I was, put a caution sign out, and sent the manager over. The manager was reluctant to speak to me and asked if I wanted paperwork to fill out to document the fall. Major changes from the last time we visited approximately 2 months ago. Tortilla shells used to appear home made, now they’re clearly store bought and warmed in the microwave. Previously frequented this restaurant every couple of months but will likely not come back. Nothing “special” about the high priced items that you couldn’t replicate at home.
I’m not sure this location could be more different than the amazing location downtown. The food was good but the service was horrendously slow. We had reservations, the restaurant was my no means full, but still our waitress couldn’t be bothered to make us a priority. We sat on the patio. Very nice ambiance. Our waitress was new. However that does not explain why it took 30 min to receive each drink we ordered. And to add that the waitress got my order wrong the first time...it took almost 1 hr to get my first drink. My red drum was extremely over cooked. My sister ordered the flank steak. We were celebrating my sister’s birthday. Our server was outstanding! That being said, at the end of the meal we asked for a to go cup. I was planning on taking the remainder of my margarita to go. I was unaware you couldn’t do that in Indiana. We received the cup and poured the drink in. The manager came out and informed us we couldn’t. Service was good and the food came out quickly. Menu seemed limited and servings were small. We had the skirt steak, chicken empanadas, and yuca fries. Fries were ok. Queso with them was bland. Skirt steak was very tough and had no seasoning. Empanadas had mush inside of them that in no way resembled chicken. Definitely will not give this place another shot.
