My experience with Livingston has truly been the worst experience I've ever had with a company. They are slow to respond, disorganized and unclear with their processes. It took 3 months to go from a simple quote to shipping one item from Canada to the US. When the shipment got to the border, the custom cost unexpectedly increased 80%. If I could give a negative rating, I would. Each time our company is assigned Livingston as the customs broker, it raises immediate concern, as these shipments consistently experience delays—often at least one full day past the scheduled delivery. Communication has been extremely poor. The staff often appear unaware of the shipment status, and obtaining any meaningful update requires repeated calls over several hours. Back in September 2025 I relocated from Vancouver to Montréal and did an insane amount of research on car shipping — I literally got 100's of quotes. Livingston consistently came in $500–$1,000 cheaper than other companies offering door-to-door service. I’ll be honest — I was extremely skeptical because of the reviews online. They can barely speak English never clear border on time have to call them multiple times for clearance. Terrible service I recommend all carriers and shippers to choose a different custom brokerage if you want your shipment delivered on time and not waiting at the border for 24 hours for a 30 min clearance

I have to agree with these other poor reviews. This company does not communicate well internally or externally. We've used Livingston multiple times. Some of the imports have gone well, but the one that hasn't has overshadowed unfortunately. We were working on two imports with them simultaneously and the first was cleared for import, but a few days later when the second one was ready to be cleared, they just weren't able to clear it, but they would never communicate what was holding things back.
