If I could rate 0 stars, I would. Awful experience, save your time and energy and use a different company. They sent invoices from late October-January all at once and expected immediate payment. I was not notified of the charges they were giving, at all. The excuse they gave was bullshit as to why it was all released at once, none of it made sense. First off I would like to say a HUGE thank you to Jason and Kajal. From the start with Jason on importing my mini Kei Truck from Japan to Canada. Jason was always around for my questions and was quick to respond, via email. I might have been a pest at times but he assured me everything will go smoothly, it did! Livingston International is a great company to work with when shipping international. They are quick to respond to questions and getting things done. I strongly recommend using them for any shipping needs and I will happy to use them again in the next venture.
The absolute worst customs broker I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. They care little about the drivers. Case in point: I sent in my paperwork at noon, said I’d be at the border at 16:00. It’s now 18:00, and there is no file opened according to their website. To make matters worse, the customer is not happy the shipment is delayed, as today is the Friday of a long weekend, so instead of having the product today, it’ll be at least 3 days before it arrives. From a carriers view - they do not effectively communicate at all. You have to phone the driver's contact center which is just a call center with no customs experience or expertise, and they send an email to the team with any questions or concerns you might have. The team then NEVER answers back. Zero accountability and no one seems to care. Sometimes shipments will take 1 hour to clear, sometimes 8 hours, either way the call center will tell you to "check the tracker from time to time" and hang up. Not their problem. No one... read more
