Lauren kills it! Such a great server! Had a great time here. Great local beers, simple food menu, great place to catch up with friends! Busy! Excited to see their patio in the summer!

I suppose they've done an OK job with the old Chill Winston space. They've brightened the interior (good or bad, not sure). They've made it feel more open with a lot of high tables and stools. The service is very friendly, and very quick. Food and drinks are the same as the Kits local. Quality ingredients, and lots of them. they should add no tip option. 18% minimum in canada is insane. also they did not address addon option pricing clearly.

I've been to LOCAL twice and sadly both times the service was EXTREMELY slow and I don't think I'll be going to this restaurant again. At the door it says they open at 10am on weekends, we got there at 10:20am. The restaurant was open but we weren't allowed in because they were waiting for their servers to come in. I asked a question about a menu item, and I was given false information. I ordered the Caesar salad, and it was disgusting. There were whole leaves of lettuce, drenched in dressing. Totally disappointed.

SCAM ALERT!!! Do not drink the cheap nasty rosé they offer at the entrance. What is presented as a freebie to lure you in turns out, they charge you $2.25 per shot. Tourist trap. Very dishonest tactic.

This review is purely based on the hostess that worked between the hour of 1900 to 2000 on 5/27/2023. We had put our name down for a table of 2 and I was told that the wait was going to be 30-45 minutes. I was fine with that because I understood that it was a Saturday night and the place looked pretty busy. However, after 25 minutes I had followed up with the hostess to see how much longer and she replied with "oh we'll call you when a table is ready, no worries." I had a burger. It was quite good a little bit on the pricey side. However, the burger was good. The only thing that I was very disappointed and I'm saying very disappointed. They did not have root beer. So I doubt I'll be coming here again unless they put it back on the red menu like come on which burger place does not have root beer. That's an American tradition
Six of us arrived at Local at around 10 pm, Saturday November 5th. Server served us until 12:30. We got our bills and decided, since we had a long train home we'd get another round of shots for the road. So because we had paid, we all got up and went to the bar to take the final shot.
