We paid $5,000 to break the lease and we were rewarded with a collections bill of $1,000 for “carpet damage”. We didn’t even live there for one year. They are refusing to send before or after photos of the damage because they know there was nothing to show.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. KEEP DRIVING AND DO NOT STOP HERE. Below is the nightmare you’ll experience if you ignore this warning. Upon moving out, we were told the carpet was stained underneath—supported by just two vague photos and no pre-move-in documentation to compare. Naturally, they blamed us without evidence. So far, I’ve lived here for 7 months and I love it here. It’s quiet, beautiful, and everyone here is very respectful of the space. The maintenance team here is AWESOME (shoutout to Austin, he’s the GOAT) and they’ve solved any of our issues (some without us even having to ask) super quickly and actually followed up with us! The carpet was horrible when we arrived and now they’re trying to make us pay for it. We weren’t even there for a year. We moved out early and that was a whole other situation. Every time I try to talk to them they just say they’re more than happy to explain the damage or something like that. Don’t waste your time here. There are some much better places in this area.
