I was unable to get a face to face appointment with my GP for something that was not an emergency but also could not wait over the weekend. I booked online and got an appointment for the perfect time slot on a Friday, as I had a day of meetings. I love the NHS and I know it’s a lot of money to go private, but on the occasion that the NHS is not there for you I recommend London Doctors. The Dr was attentive and informative. I was in London for a few days and suddenly developed severe back pain. I searched online that evening and got an appointment here the very next day. The doctor even spoke a little German, which made the visit easier for me. He listened to my medical history and ran a few tests with me, took his time, and then prescribed the necessary medication and gave me advice. It's a small but excellent practice, and the doctor's assistant was also very friendly. I felt very well cared for there. Thank you so much!
I had a very negative experience with London Doctors Clinic. At 31 weeks pregnant, I booked specifically for a fit to fly letter after being assured they provide them. After assessing me, the doctor verbally confirmed I was fit to fly but then refused to put this clearly in writing, claiming he did not want to “indemnify the airline” — something I never asked for. Easy to book, but GP had a poor bedside manner and was very difficult to understand. Made no attempt to engage with my issue. Probably fine if you just need to get a prescription, but stay away if you're actually looking for a consultation with a doctor.
Very polite receptionist but I was 6 mins late to appointment (first of the day) due to a 30 min late train. I understand their policy is 5 mins late and we can't proceed but I watched the Dr pull up my record and make a decision as though not been reviewed before I arrived (in the 5mins that I was late) all in all very impersonal. The extra minute I was late was also due to the fact that while the address is 142 if you go up to the intercom they aren't on it.
