Longleaf is a well run facility. It is clean and functional, with friendly and helpful staff. My aunt has made friends quickly, and she enjoys a variety of activities. My favorite part is that she is encouraged to use her alert necklace for questions or requests for help in addition to medical emergency to ensure the person never hesitates when they truly need it.
Our objective was to find a place for my 95 year old mother with the type of dementia that still allowed her to think rationally, but was incapable of retaining any new information, even during a brief conversation. She knows us all, but can't remember where she lives, how she got there or why she is staying in this place (her home of 26 years). Her only daughter is her primary caretaker and she is getting overwhelmed at times with the constant phone calls and care needs. We selected Long Leaf because it was a beautiful loca... read more
Community has lots of areas to be with friends. They are refreshing with new paint and have had much better and consistent staff. They have an alert system where a resident can push a button to get assistance. My Mom is in the assisted living section. I do not have experience with the memory care section. Longleaf is a hidden gem where I have witnessed the caring and attentive staff who work tirelessly to keep assisted living resident and their rooms and visiting areas clean, fresh and beautiful. The minute you walk in, you feel like you are in a ski lodge. Most of the time, you are met by the front desk to offer assistance. They have good food, “happy hour,” activities galore and setting is second to none, in my opinion. Most of all, those living there, daily get cleaned rooms and help with showering if needed, have a HELP b... read more
I had a great tour experience at Longleaf Liberty Park. The only drawback was the location of the facility, it was just too far from where I live and I wanted her to be closer.
It is a newer community which was a plus for us - the room our loved one has is a one bedroom, one bathroom with a large closet for storage. It has a full kitchenette area so it makes it feel more like an apartment. For what we get the value is good - we got in on a really good deal. One drawback which is something everyone is experiencing is that they are loosing staff - because of this the quality of care is not up to par which has been an adjustment but we understand they are trying their best and we would still recommend... read more
We toured this community and the tour was very good. They answered all of our questions and were very informative. They were very accommodating and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We did not feel rushed at all and they took their time with our family. I would recommend touring this community
