Great apartment. Everything is brand new and works well. The common areas and amenities (like the lounge/party-room) are fantastic and well maintained. The move in process was extremely smooth and no-hassle (best I've had in my years of renting). The management and staff are professional and work competently to answer your questions and requests.
I recently moved into Luma and couldn't be happier with my decision! The building is well-maintained, clean, and offers fantastic amenities. A huge shoutout to our building manager, Asad, who has been incredibly helpful and responsive to any concerns. He truly cares about the residents and goes above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly. I've been living in this building for a year now, and for the past two months, the AC hasn't been working. Despite reaching out to the manager for help, they haven't been cooperative in finding a solution. We're paying $3300 in rent, but there has been no compensation for the inconvenience of living without AC.
Pros - - The place has a great location, very central and you don’t have to walk or drive far to get the basics. - North facing is a good view to the museum and north east ottawa - Staff is generally very friendly and competent, specially Madison has been very on top of things even though very visibly busy most of the time - Walls are very well insulted so you cant hear neighbours much - Well kept amenities - (sometimes too busy though) Cons - Due to the Hospital near by you can hear a lot of sirens all day and someti... read more
Reviews are being hidden/removed.. it's a nice building, but expect large rent increases, 24/7 HVAC fan noise and cool air blowing (can't shut off), and not even water being included (utility company is Wyse). Treadmills remain broken for long periods. And not their fault, but there's no direct sunlight for units facing Smyth, and soot/smells on balcony from the road. Maintenance is quick, employees are nice.
