Staff is dismissive and judgmental when they hear certain diagnoses. Not sure if this is standard practice, but the nurse threw the IV needle, tubes, medical syringes, and bloody bandages in the normal waste basket rather than the red bio waste can or sharps container. Also put so much tape on the IV that they burst blood vessels removing it. Radiology has also neglected to note obvious problems (like 4 large kidney stones). My midwife at Madison Memorial Hospital/Season Women’s Clinic is Marie Horne and she is absolutely amazing! She has delivered two of my babies now and really took her time on both my pregnancies and deliveries to make sure I was well taken care of. She is also extremely skilled and clearly very experienced. Because of her skill, I didn't even tear in either of my deliveries. She is also a friend to her patients. The staff was great! The nurse kind & very proficient in giving an IV. Dr kind & listen very thoughtful. Radiologist was good natured & easy to talk to. Good experience not fun to go to the ER, but was good.
We were visiting from Boise when my son had appendicitis so we took him to the ER late at night. They took him right in and took the very best care of him. All of the doctors and nurses we worked with were phenomenal, we are so grateful for such an incredible care team for our son!
I took my wife (then girlfriend) into the ER because she was having repeating seizures. The doctor was a big man who was very rude and impatient and spoke at a volume 3 times louder than anyone else in the room. Between seizures, my wife could barely speak, so she tried turning to me so I could explain the situation. When I tried, he loudly demanded that she explain it herself, despite the difficulty speaking.
