Was informed on the phone my insurance would cover over 60% of my per session care as I was told I had met my deductible and would be paying co insurance. After my first session I was billed the entirety and informed I had not met the deductible. Just not something that health admins whose sole job is ensuring these things are correct should get wrong.

I met with Karen Feng for an intake and she was incredibly unbelievably awkward. Just sat in silence staring at me and in the span of 15 minutes she said, quote, “just out of curiosity” before asking basic questions 7 times. SEVEN! She was so strange and unprofessional that I ended the appointment early. I told Manhattan Mental Health that I was not interested in their services and in the past 2 weeks since, I have received 10 emails from them - AFTER I unsubscribed. And today they called me twice. STOP CONTACTING ME.

I have been working with Chantal A for the past year, and with her guidance my life has completely transformed. I went from my bottom to sobriety for the past 8 months. Very disappointed with my experience. I had a Saturday appointment at 1:10 and the therapist never showed up. I called her, emailed and called the business and did not get a single answer. I waited and checked the zoom periodically and the therapist still didn’t come. With about 5 mins left of what would have been our session, the therapist finally got in touch with me. I tried calling the business a couple of times to discuss my dissatisfaction with no answer. I would not recommend this business to anyone.

This agency isn’t worth your time if your goal is for genuine mental-health services—they aren’t patient-centered, Administration is extremely hard to reach, and their financial practices seem borderline illegal for a mental-health outpatient clinic. My therapist has the potential to be a great resource for other patients if they weren’t under the financial greed-policy driven constraints MMHC places on its staff.
