I recently visited Solis Mammography in Philadelphia for my mom's first mammogram, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff made me feel completely at ease. The front desk team was welcoming, professional, and efficient, which helped calm my first-time nerves especially Miss Taneesha. My appointment was for 9:30am, it is now 10:19am and am still waiting to be seen. There's 4 people working at the checkin/out counter but they are not helpful at all. I forgot to bring in the Dr's order paper for the dexascan but the check-in lady didn't attempt to find it in the computer and told me to go home and get the papers because without them they can't see me. The tech who did my exam today created a very uncomfortable experience for me. She was very condescending in her tone when gathering my info and she stood in the change room way too long for my liking while I was getting prepared. I couldn't get a good look at her staff ID because she moved around in and out of the room while she was talking. I want to start by expressing my gratitude to the doctors and technicians who assisted me. Once I was in their care, my anxiety finally subsided, and I felt treated with the dignity and gentleness that should be standard in this field. However, getting to that point was deeply upsetting.
