The office is beautiful and clean, play area for kids. It's secure and the staff is knowledgable and do a hand-off of info from patient to provider. Dr. Geiss is well-versed and you health is what it should be...a conversation. You're not talked at, you're not ignored. She spends the time and never seems rushed and makes your time as valuable as hers. Although I'm a fairly new patient I've gotten results and the help I've been needing and not receiving from other Dr.'s. She follows through
She did not even introduce herself upon entering the room. She immediately told me she wasn’t going to prescribe me medications for anxiety. She then proceeded to berate me for not getting expensive testing done when I couldn’t afford it. The topping on the cake is that she did Audio recording of my visit which she did NOT tell me.
This doctor cancels visits without telling her patients and does not send reports to other physicians. When you show up to other MDs, they have to cancel your visit because they haven’t received the report from the original Dr…. She is lazy… never wants to see her patients and is always cancelling visits.
And if you're in terrible pain she makes you feel like a drug addict just looking for a high when you say none of the other meds are working well enough, and sends you home suffering. The 1st time I met her I didn't hear her introduce myself and when I asked her name she got huffy and said she already told me. When I asked a question she didn't like, she said 'Listen, YOU came to ME, if you don't like.... blah blah blah. This was my first time meeting Dr. Geiss. She was filled with aggressive attitude from the moment she entered the room. She didn't even introduce herself or say hello. She prescribed a muscle relaxant for my problem but it was never sent to the pharmacy. I called to check on it and was told it didn't go through. Well it never went through, even after I called. She is by far the worse doctor I have ever gone to. I'm not sure why she is in health care other than for the money.
Dr Geiss told me she had no answers for me, so I did some research to try to be an informed patient and went to another visit with a list of things we could start crossing off via some blood tests. She snatched my papers and said "It isn't that--STOP READING THE INTERNET". (She told ME she had no answers so I tried to help!) She then suggested my 15 year+ symptoms might be pre-menopause. My boyfriend is a pt. He has struggled for years with alcoholism, anxiety , and depression, found out his brother had cancer and asked for help with this. Which was incredibly hard for him to do on the first place. Her advice was work out 3x a week that’s better then medication. Come back in 3 months and call me in between. No wonder there’s a mental health crisis in the us. When patients actually ask for help they’re told to work out.
About a month ago I had an appointment with Dr. Geiss for my yearly pap. Only my second time seeing her so I was a little anxious considering it’s an uncomfortable appointment. I left the office in tears because of how uncomfortable and Inconvenient the doctor made me feel. I received a bill in the mail for $40. My insurance fully covers my paps. I called and it was because she sent me a referral for something I figured because I was already in the office I’d have her take a look at. What?!?!
