These are the worst luxury apartments I’ve ever come across so last week my mom, and about 20 other people were locked out of their apartments due to a power outage, which is fine and dandy, but their key fobs did not work for none of the doors even the emergency exits were locked My mom and all of those other people were locked out of their apartments for over eight hours and mind you when I got there there were so many people that were pissed off because on top of this at least 15 other people told me that they also do not... read more

I was conflicted on whether to leave a negative review or not. The conflict is this, on one hand I was immediately impressed by the property and more importantly the staff at Mason 459, Monogram and Mason @ Hive. Isaac, Keri and Shante were and are amazing. They’re down to earth, personality and welcoming spirit, did not prevent them from being the most professional people I’ve come across in my attempts to find housing, while at the same time navigating through a relationship separation. They were bought out recently and things have been noticeably better since new management. It's downtown Oakland so you'll get some of the noise that comes with that. Staff is all really great and on top of service requests when needed. The unit itself is huge. With the tall walks you never hear your neighbors. The building doesn't have many amenities but in unit washer and dryer is huge. This place has been home for a while now.

not terrible, but not what one would expect for such high rent prices. the property management company handles 5 different properties and it is clearly more than they can handle. pros: near BART, near some great places to eat, spacious apartments, SOME office staff are helpful cons: other office staff aren't helpful at all, office staff is not trans-friendly, packages don't reliably arrive, common area floors are almost always covered in something nasty, cars are not safe in the garage, neighbors and nearby cars play loud ... read more

walls are thin so pray you have a quiet neighbor. management is offsite (only a block away but they might as well be non existent with how useless they are). I had constant issues with homeless getting on to my patio to charge their devices, and also issue with one getting into the building to enjoy his adult videos. management was useless every time. dont even ask where your packages are being delivered because there is at least 5 different places they can end up. garage is "managed" by the same team, so guess what? nobody ... read more
