Working with MCAW has been an extremely beneficial experience for myself and my daughter. We have both learned new coping skills for my daughter to deal with her anxiety and depression. I would highly recommend any adolescent going through any sort of mental health issue to seek out MCAW for their expertise and insight. unfortunately my child did not have a good experience here. it seems like MCAW cares more about getting as many kids enrolled as they can, rather than providing quality clinical care. i got this impression because my child shared with me that there were constantly intakes happening and several new kids coming in daily, so much so that there was barely enough space in the groups for kids to sit, let alone enough time for the kids to talk. my kid said they loved the clinicians, but the caseloads are simply too high for them to... read more

I was disappointed with this program due to the large group size. There were 23 children in my stepdaughter’s group, which significantly increased her anxiety and caused her to feel overstimulated. As a result, she was unable to retain much of the information or skills being taught. For children who require smaller, therapeutic environments, this setting may not be appropriate. If I had known the group would be larger than her classroom at school, I would have sought services elsewhere.

The entire program from admission to discharge was exceptional! The staff and therapists were supportive, informative, actively involved, and understanding of each adolescent's needs'. I highly recommend MCAW for any family in need of professional guidance.
