This was our first time dining at Mayahuel, and overall it was a beautiful experience. We ordered the Chef’s Special tasting menu, and everything was absolutely delicious. The drinks were amazing each one felt like a little journey and every dish we tried was full of flavor and thoughtfully prepared. Everything felt impeccable. The service was great, the ambiance was perfect, and the restaurant itself is very comfortable. The soft colors and the unique scent of the space really stand out,it plays with your senses and truly ... read more

Ambiance of this place is fantastic. But I think the food needs some work. It's clear to me they are trying to be upscale Mexican? Which is super hard to pull off. I got the ceviche, blue tuna, croquets, the short rib, seafood tacos. I don't think the food was good enough to justify the cost. Two small tacos for more then $20 is too much. The short rib was not large enough and imo not the melt in your mouth you would expect from a short rib for this price. The food time is also incredibly long. 2-3 hrs..... I honestly t... read more

Wonderful dining experience. A tasty adventure filled with culinary delights in every bite. The dishes were creative and beautifully presented. They provided a complimentary amuse bouche. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Their chocolate desert is a must try. I would pass on the steak since it was not as tender, and order the short rib in the future

It had been on my to do list for a minute because we were in Mexico City in January and loved the food. Upon arrival we were taken straight to our table in view of the open kitchen. The restaurant itself is sleek modern and, if I’m being picky, just a *little* too bright inside. It also smelled amazing. Our waiter was friendly and he... read more

Mayahuel - Lunch $8 valet parking. The ocelotl cocktail was very good. An old fashioned with mezcal as its base. Awesome big single cube of crystal clear ice. A thickened tortilla soup, thickened with? Onions? Masa? Cornstarch/flour? Probably masa. Good flavor. Nothing overwhelming or one note. Perfectly accepable. For my personal taste, I would not order it again as just too thick a gravy for my personal preference. But that’s just me. Nothing wrong with it. Guacamole was good. Well prepared. I’d probably remove the cil... read more
