The beignets are hot fresh and deliciously gooey. I only ordered a plate of biscuits and gravy, the biscuits were good but there was gravy missing, kinda dry. The rest of my party’s plates looked really good and so I would give this establishment another try.
Best food I have ever eaten in my life! I had the shrimp and grits and it was literally AMAZING! My husband did the chicken and waffles and that was phenomenal as well!! Mimosas were delightful ❤️
My husband and I visited Mayfel’s based on our son’s recommendation. We love New Orleans food and were very excited to try it out! My husband chose the shrimp and grits and I had the Muffaletta sandwich with fried okra and French fries. It was delicious! I enjoyed a delicious Tito’s Bloody Mary with a cup of seafood gumbo and fresh beignets! Took me right back to New Orleans with the music, outdoor ambiance, and a saxophone-playing busker nearby! I highly recommend Mayfel’s and I will definitely be back! Update: Scott, the general manager, came out and introduced himself to me, thanked me, and invited me to visit the really cool courtyard area of the restaurant! Talk about feeling appreciated! 😊
We had a fabulous lunch, today, at Mayfel’s. The weather was rainy and dreary but the atmosphere inside was warm and inviting! We each tried something different and we were all happy with our choices. We ordered the Muffaletta with fries and asparagus as sides. The bread was toasted perfectly and the ingredient proportions were perfect. Ask for a side of the remoulade for dipping your fries😁.
