About us Mazzios Italian Eatery It was 1961. Alan Shepard was the USA’s first man in space. Dion’s “Runaround Sue” topped the music charts. Volkswagen’s funny little car invaded America in droves. And a young school teacher opened a small, one-man pizza restaurant in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which was to be the birthplace of the growing, dynamic Mazzio’s LLC of today. Both good and bad. Has good points has bad points. Supreme pizza is lacking. Salad bar was fresh and full. Sandwich came out way after pizza.... like they forgot to make it or something. But everything tasted fine. Tables were dirty. Hard to spend an average of $20 a person for what you get.
We arrived at 7:30/7:45, we had 4 adults and 4 small kids. As soon as we walked in we were told to seat ourselves with only one table for four ready. I asked if we could move a table from the closed section to make more space for us, the waitress said “whatever.” Then after we ordered they handed us paper plates, and we noticed everyone else there had actual plates. I had a big party I was calling for so I had multiple orders I was trying to order and wanted it for an hour later. But before I could even tell the women on the phone that it wasn't to be made right at the latest very moment she begins to tell me that they are too busy to take my order they are in the middle of lunch buffet. I love their salad bar and buffet, but on my last 2 trips here, they haven't been that great. We were there around 12:30 and that's an hour before buffet closes. They only put out one fresh pizza the whole time, even though there were very few pizzas.
The food was good. Some waitstaff were rude to both customers and coworkers in front of customers. It was a Tuesday buffet and they had half the dining area blocked off and weren't really restocking the buffet.
