Do not let the company you work for enroll in Medone. They will treat you like a lad rat with what they want you to take. They use a 3rd party company to inappropriately utilize manufacturer programs instead of their coverage. There are medications that they do not cover and force patients to attempt to use manufacturer programs instead of paying out of their pocket. Med One can reply as sweet and professional as they want, but my personal experience with them has shown me something completely different. Their decisions do not feel patient-centered. They feel cost-centered. I have already had issues with them refusing to cover diabetes medication, now they have changed my hormones from a generic cost to a preferred brand category, which raised my cost from $10 to $60. Terrible! Constantly denying prescriptions for my son and myself. It's so unethical to say "we won't fill this medication until you try FOUR other medications first"!!!! What??!! And then they require prior-auths for EVERYTHING!!! If our specialists took their time and expertise to prescribe a medication, then that's what is needed!! But MedOne constantly pushes back insisting we "try" several other meds first. Resulting in MANY MONTHS before finally having a chance at getting the med we need, no guarantee though!!!
