Highly disappointed. I paid a lot just to get a copy of half of a vhs. I asked if something went wrong, and they said the second half of the tape was unable to play. Of course they still charged me full price, put half of the tape on a dvd, USB dive, and a file for me and sent it out without letting me know first. I bought a vhs to dvd converter for my laptop after this for about $40. It copied the whole vhs just fine, and the quality appears just as good as Memory Fortress too. Step aside Legacy Box. Memory Fortress has you beat by miles. I was so satisfied with my service, that I brought 10 plus tapes in addition to the first 10. Most companies like this can only do photo scans or VHS. Memory Fortress can download DVDs, CDs and cassette tapes. The price is very reasonable, the turnaround was less than 10 days, and best yet, I had the videos stored on a cloud so I can share with the whole family! Highly recommend
Memory Fortress came through brilliantly! With 25 years of treasured family reunion scrapbooks, it seemed a little risky sending them off to be digitized (I'd become the black sheep of the family if anything happened to the treasured books!). But there's a risk of damage/loss in not preserving them digitally as they migrate from reunion host-to-host. So, I took the leap and sent off one 100-page 12x12" scrapbook...and am so glad I did. Several years ago, my dad gave me a box full of old 8mm family movies. Many were filled with movies of me as an infant and a young girl.
