So hard to deliver my Dad to a care facility. But, I liked MH right from the beginning. Caring, helpful staff and care givers. I have not met one person here who isn't wearing a smile. I know my Dad can get out of hand occasionally and they handled it, no problem. Also, my Dad is always happy and smiling as well and that's what is most important too me. Only down side, a little bit spendy

It's a different experience for each person. The facility is nice and I would say too expensive for the amount of services. It's not a perfect place but there really isn't any place like your own home. We've had a few issues but have always been able to have them addressed although it was very frustrating. Often understaffed and overworked employees. We had a plumbing issue that took too long to be addressed. Housekeeping lacks. Two incidents with medication. Laundry care is terrible at times. The staff here have done an excellent job with redirection and diffusing when my mom has gotten agitated. They’ve been very helpful with techniques for our family as well. My mom has started adjusting and improving after 2 weeks.

The staff and care workers at Memory Haven are competent, and they know what is needed. Be sure to verify exactly what is to be done, and tell them what you expect in return. My mom has been well taken care of. I arrive to visit unexpected, and all is calm. My mom is comfortable, as well as others in the area.
The rooms were small, not the right lit for my loved one.
I placed my wife in Memory Haven on a Thursday. She was still wearing that same outfit on Sunday. I was the one who changed her clothes. The only activity I observed was a lady had a coloring page, set up a radio and had only one individual partaking. The only real time I saw a gathering of patients was at meal time. The only other people ( two or three) were placed in front of a TV that was seldom monitored... most of them were asleep. Of course, this was over a weekend, so I don't know if staffing was sparse.
