I had a very unpleasant experience with this company. The legal assistant I spoke with was extremely rude and aggressive and repeatedly interrupted me. She kept saying, “Sir, I can’t give you legal advice on how to pay your amount due,” even though I was not asking for legal advice. I was simply asking how to connect my account to my DMP account so I could manage my payments. She was unhelpful, dismissive, and would not allow me to explain my question, which made the interaction very frustrating.
These people will play games with your finances. Had a suit filed against me for a bill I thought had been paid. The court papers were apparently delivered to an address I had not lived at for YEARS!!!! Then Mendelson bought the debt. They literally sat on the papers for more than 5 years!!! They could have gone after my paychecks at any of my employers (I worked 3 jobs at one time before getting the job I am at now and have been at for almost 4 years). The MOST STUPID LAW FIRM!! I was garnished 4-5 months ago I took out an advance from work to pay the percentage to get out of the garnishment and got a clear from the judge and now the are trying to garnish AGAIN for the SAME exact thing I was cleared for and can’t get on the phone with ANY of the stupid people………
Let me tell you something, if this attorney and/or Merit Health contact you through him, call your insurance commissioner in your state. My insurance had paid and I owed nothing but they came at me over one year. I’ll be reporting them to the bars of several states among other things. Harassment, illegal, and more. Never use this place as I can’t imagine what they would do with people needed wills and trusts. They are unethical, immoral, and they should never work again.
