I highly recommend this place! All the people here are very, very friendly! My mom took my 6-year-old twins because they were very sick. On this day they went to school dressing as nurse/doctor for some activities, had a little cough but at the end of the day got very bad and ended at urgent care🥹 I wasn't able to go because of my work, and even though my mom doesn't speak English, everybody was trying to speak to her in Spanish, even if it was just a few words. I came in September 4, 2024, with a swollen right hand from a bumblebee sting, which had happened two days earlier, and seemed to be getting worse instead of better. I got a shot of Dexamethasone in my derriere and a prescription for Cephalexin to take for seven days. It's now September 6, the swelling and redness are almost completely gone and the itching has subsided greatly. The two ladies who took care of me were empathetic, efficient and very kind. I have visited Urgent Care several times over the past ten years. It was never something serious but things that were making me miserable. The latest was a sting by a bee (or it could have been a little wasp). I’m improving with the meds the Dr. ordered for me. I was also impressed when twice over the past years a dear friend of mine was visiting. She is from Kentucky and there was no issue or questions about her going to Mercy Urgent Care. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO WAIT HOURS TO BE SEEN!!! My boyfriend just went here to be seen, he was having some respiratory issues and decided to go in this is the closest urgent care near us 40 minutes away. He got there and checked in around 9:30am. The receptionist was extremely rude and unhelpful. He sat for 2 hours even when the waiting room was empty. Everyone who came in after him got seen almost immediately. I have a suprapub. It was blocked went to indianola urgent care was told to drive to des moines er. Because urgent care nurses are NOT QUALIFIED to unblock a suprapub. Why even have a urgent care. Stupid
