Great doctors. Severe lack of effective administration. I love my doctor, Dr. Amy Fulton. The two stars are only for her. I will be searching for a new office due to the incompetency and lack of customer service from some of the people at the front desk/phone receptionists. Every three months, I have to call in to get a new prescription since I am on controlled medications for my ADHD. I can only request a new prescription in the last 5 days of pills. I saw Alexis Taylor and couldn’t be more pleased with the care I received from her during my visit. I felt so heard and understood as she listened to my symptoms and asked me detailed questions to gather more information. It is obvious she cares for her patients, and I highly recommend.
Dr. Anderson has been my Dr. Since the 1990s and is the finest M.D. in the state of Iowa and his Nurse Nancy is without a doubt the best nurse in practice today. I rarely give 5 stars but they deserve it and are the best at what they do. They secretaries that answer the phone are always polite and courteous. Mercy as an medical center is the best by far!
My doctor & nurse are great but the wait time on the phone at the front desk is close to 10 min to 12 min. That's way too long. I put in a urgent request earlier to have a prescription refill since I am out of state & traveling. It look like an hour & half later the pharmacy never received it. I had to call again cuz no message was relayed to the nurse. I was delayed driving out of town cuz of this. Disappointed 😞
My doctor was recently transferred to the Johnston location. I love her, but the office staff at this location are ridiculously incompetent! Whenever I call, I am on hold for at least 10-15 min. When I ask a question of the front desk, they don't usually have an answer and are sometimes unable to find the answer. I got a referral to a specialist......4 weeks later, the specialist still hadn't gotten the referral. The doctor made a 2nd referral to the same specialist for a different issue...2 weeks later, still no referral.... read more
