I had a deeply concerning experience at MercyOne. The nursing staff actively refused to let me be seen by a doctor and blocked my access to care. This is a violation of patient rights and extremely dangerous. I am filing a formal grievance with the hospital administration. Be very careful coming here if you have an urgent medical need.
The wait time can be too much. However, it is worth thtime when you get a great doctor
Most unwelcoming doctor’s office I’ve ever been in and the reception staff was the worst of it all, personal conversation was more important then getting me checked in. I’ll never come back here again.
TERRIBLE RECEPTION STAFF!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND INHUMANE! I have a brain tumor and went in with a MASSIVE MIGRAINE!! After I checked in, waiting room only had few patients. After waiting over 20 minutes I asked how much longer. Staff said since I did not respond to text to check in I would JUST HAVE TO WAIT. SHOWED HER NO TEXT SENT. Her comment, well you HAVE TO WAIT!! On VA website and my husband's VA social worker said to go to MercyOne as they are an in network community care provider. Which means, per VA website, they would verify eligibility and send the bill to VA. When we went there the workers said he would have to self pay and he can send the bill to VA. They said they dont think they do that. Tells me they are not even willing to look into and essentially turned him away.
